Are we Farmers or Hunters?
✅ Farming of bamboo. After sowing the seed we do not know whether the seed is alive for three or four years. You have to simply water it with love. Agents also should cultivate such a habit with the prospects
✅ After 3 years baby bamboo will bud and emerge. Another 3 years again it has to be nurtured to become a fully grown plant. Our business is also like that. Just be in touch with prospect with love and care
✅ If the prospect can not give u a policy in an year he will suggest at least some client if we keep relating to him in a dignified manner with more care and concern
The quality of the bamboo depends upon the dedication with which we farm it
✅ Inspiration is like food, you need a little bit everyday. Your customer also requires it. If you can not give it do not go to the client
✅ After the bamboo grows for three years no one can stop its growth. Similar will be your relationship with client and your business growth
✅ Success is a process, not an event
✅ I do four five TOTs in a year. So I do not think of MDRT. If u think only of MDRT you will never grow beyond that
✅ The bamboo should be taller than the weeds. Weeds are our negative thoughts. Do not complain about Corporation, they are weeds. Just think about the growth of bamboo and the weeds will automatically get destroyed. Corporation is like our Parent. It will not destroy us
✅ When it comes to success, extraordinary perseverance wins over talent
✅ Successful people do not have pity parties. Do not get bogged down by rules and regulations. Reach the right authority and explain your challenges
✅ Be like a bamboo.The higher you grow the greater you bow. The initial nurturing makes it stronger beneath the soil and then it starts growing one feet per day. Like wise your relationship with client will also soar
✅ If get one MDRT from one client. One TOT from one client. That way I nurture and grow myself
✅ A client in Chennai - prospected for 10 years, took four years for presentation on 50 lac premium, then nurtured him for another six years, then when the bamboo grow it grew taller and he gave a premium 10 times the presentation amount. Premium was equal to 5 crore
✅ In MDRT meet I was introduced as equal to one private insurance company in india
✅ Yesterday I met a voluntary retired bureaucrat. He said he do not want to take any policy in his life time. Some years back invested in ULIP. It was sold with wrong promise of higher returns. Now customer got lesser return. Hence got dejected and took the decision of not investing with LIC.
I said sir just because one apple was rotten out of the 10 apples purchased will u stop eating apples. Who should take decision about your life. Yourself or a product of LIC. Pl take the right decision. Just because one agent wrongly guided you to take a wrong decision, should u again take a wrong decision of not investing with LIC
✅ Many customers may become dissatisfied with u. Example in 2002 I sold J Shree under key man insurance. In 2014 the tax laws were changed. I immediately sent mails and met all the clients and informed about the changes and advised them to contact their auditors and adopt to changes. All the customers understood me and changed their views about me
Who are hunters. Shoot, kill and eat.
✅ If you want to hit a century which one should you focus? Ball or scoreboard? Ball is the relationship with your client and it will automatically take care of your scoreboard - new business
✅ Everybody looks at the person who is well dressed and has a good personality. MDRT is a small ornament to decorate yourself.
✅ The average service of the agents Sitting here is 20 years. India has grown several times in the last 20 years. But our commission has not grown to the same extent.
✅ Jeevan Shiromani has come to change our mindset and make us grow. Do we wear the shirt in the same fashion as we wore 20 years back. Then why are we struck with the same ticket size of premium
✅ Concluded by saying that his average ticket size last 5 years is 90 lac. Opportunity is there. Grab it.
